On September 25, professors Asifullah Khan and Muhammad ILYAS from Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS) visited the college to discuss future collaboration opportunities with Dean Tan Sichao.

The college presented its achievements and recent advancements in cutting-edge fields, including advanced thermal-hydraulic analysis, multi-physics/multi-scale coupling analysis, and artificial intelligence applications. The two professors expressed high recognition and appreciation for the college’s work and conveyed their desire to engage in deep exchanges and collaboration in the areas of education and scientific research.

The two parties reached a consensus and formulated an action plan to collaborate on graduate student exchange programs, faculty visits, joint research, and the establishment of shared laboratories.

Last September, PIEAS President Professor Naseem Irfan visited Harbin Engineering University during its 70th-anniversary celebration and signed a memorandum of cooperation between the two institutions. In April this year, Vice Dean Professor Gao Puzhen and Associate Professor Li Lei were invited to participate in an academic seminar hosted by PIEAS at its IAEA Cooperation Center.

Previously, Vice President Yu Zhiwen of the university met with Professor Naseem Irfan, the President of PIEAS University, who visited the university as an international evaluation expert in the field of nuclear science.
