From July 15 to 20, 2024, ten international graduate students and three Chinese undergraduates of College of Nuclear Science and Technology enjoyed a journey of academic and friendship in Sanmen city, Zhejiang Province. They spent six exciting days at "World Nuclear University Tsinghua Week". The World Nuclear University (WNU) is an international educational institution co-sponsored by the International Atomic Energy Agency, the International Nuclear Energy Association, the International Association of Nuclear Operators and the OECD and other international organizations related to nuclear energy.Tsinghua University has been running the "World Nuclear University Tsinghua Week" since 2007, aiming to help participants broaden their international horizons, broaden their knowledge of the industry, enhance their understanding of industry practices and the future development of nuclear energy.

Introduction:
My name is Babar Iqbal, and I am honored to represent Harbin Engineering University, College of Nuclear Science and Technology, during the World Nuclear University week at Tsinghua University. This prestigious event has been a remarkable journey, offering transformative experiences that have significantly enriched both my academic and professional development.
Activities and Events:
The World Nuclear University week was packed with a variety of activities designed to enhance our understanding and skills in nuclear science and technology. On the first day, professors from Tsinghua University introduced the importance of nuclear energy, followed by a visit to the Sanmen Nuclear Power Plant Museum, showcasing the project’s history and achievements.
The second day featured lectures by Sir Francios Morin, Director for Asia of the World Nuclear University, on the necessity of nuclear collaboration for safety, and Sir Angelo Gonzalez on nuclear safety precautions and progress.

On the third day, Professors liu Xue Gang and Li Litao, Director of Finance of Nuclear Cooperation, provided insights into the financial aspects and cooperation strategies in the nuclear sector. The fourth day included a tour of the Sanmen Nuclear Power Plant, offering hands-on experience, and visits to Sanmen Village and an art gallery to appreciate local culture and history.
Throughout the week, our active involvement in all learning activities, discussions, and Competition Harbin Enginering University was prominent thoroughout the week.
Our Achievements
Our delegation of ten students from Harbin Engineering University achieved notable success at the World Nuclear University week. Competing against numerous esteemed institutions, we secured gold and silver prizes, a testament to our dedication and the rigorous training provided by our College of Nuclear Science and Technology. This accomplishment not only reflects our hard work but also highlights the excellence of our institution on an international stage.

The World Nuclear University week provided an exceptional platform for growth and learning. Tsinghua University’s world-class facilities and renowned faculty offered an ideal environment for intellectual advancement. A standout moment was our visit to the San men Nuclear Power Plant in Zhejiang, where we witnessed the cutting-edge integration of technology, safety, and environmental protection. This hands-on experience, coupled with insightful lectures and interactive sessions, greatly deepened our understanding of nuclear energy and its applications.
Our active involvement in all learning activities, discussions, and competitions was recognized by both organizers and peers. Our engagement and proficiency were consistently highlighted, showcasing the high level of preparation and academic excellence fostered by Harbin Engineering University.
