On the morning of June 7th, Professor Su Guanghui of Xi'an Jiaotong University was invited to the university. Three-dimensional thermohydraulic calculation of key components of nuclear power plants based on CFD porous media model and characteristics of key thermohydraulic phenomena in nuclear power systems under marine conditions were conducted in classroom 21B113. The lecture report. The lecture was attended by the faculty and graduate students of the Institute of Nuclear Science. Professor Xia Hong was the host of the lecture.

In the lecture, Professor Su Guanghuang first introduced the application background of the porous media model, and pointed out the shortcomings of the traditional method in simulating the thermohydraulic phenomena of the key equipment of nuclear power plant. Then the mechanism of the model is explained from the basic mathematical model. The application of numerical simulation based on porous media model to reactor pressure vessel, steam generator and inactive heat exhaust heat exchanger is also given. Professor Su Guangming pointed out that the method of using porous media model to simulate thermal and hydraulic calculation of nuclear power plant has been greatly questioned by academic circles at first, but Professor Su has not given up his research on it for more than a decade. At present, great progress has been made in this research, which has been adopted by China Institute of Nuclear Power Design and Research. In addition, Professor Su has conducted a study on the key thermohydraulic phenomena of nuclear power systems in marine conditions.
Professor Xia Hong made a summary of the lecture report. The teachers and students present listened carefully to the contents of the report, and many students exchanged views with Professor Su on their own research topic.
