On the morning of April 8th, Xing Ji, deputy general manager, chief engineer of China Nuclear Power Engineering Co. Ltd and chief designer of Hualong No. 1, was invited to our hospital.Lecture in Room 21B103 entitled Nuclear Power Development and technological Innovation in Hualong No. 1.Professor Gao Pu Zhen held the chair of the lecture, which was attended by the relevant teachers and graduate students of the Institute of Nuclear Science.

       Xing Ji Chief engineer first introduced the domestic electricity market situation and nuclear power development prospects and trends to popularize the current nuclear power development situation.Then from the research and development process of PWR nuclear power technology, the design guiding ideology and technical characteristics of PWR No.1 are introduced, and then the development thinking of PWR nuclear power technology is put forward from shallow to deep.The conclusion that technological innovation is the only way is put forward through the four development directions of increasing power, reducing construction cost, reducing power generation cost and adopting new materials.Finally, the teachers and students raised some questions about scientific research to Chief engineer Xing, which enhanced academic exchanges and benefited greatly.
