In the afternoon of June 26th, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, researcher of Northwest Institute of Nuclear Technology, professional tutor of doctoral students, Major General of Technology, and President of the Electric College of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Qiu Aici were invited to our hospital. First of all, academician Qiu introduced the demand background of pulse radiation source and its application prospect in material improvement, space propulsion, radiation effect, weapon performance diagnosis and so on. The development of pulse power technology and the current scientific research are also introduced.

Academician Qiu Aici is one of the main leaders in the field of high current pulsed particle beam accelerator and high power pulse technology in China. A low-impedance pulsed electron beam accelerator flash 2 with the strongest beam current up to 1MA in China has been successfully developed, and the multifunctional radiation device strong Light 1 has been built. These equipments have played an important role in scientific research and high technology research, and filled the gaps in our country. She closely followed the latest developments in international scientific research and promoted and presided over important scientific research projects such as Fast Z-pinch Physics and its Pulse Power driven Source Technology and High Power Ion Beam Generation and Application.
