Tan Sichao, male, born in Feb. 1979, CPC member, PhD in Engineering, professor and doctoral supervisor. He has successively served as HR Work Office director and deputy division chief of Human Resource Department of HEU, division chief of Human Resources Department of HEU, standing member of District Party Committee and deputy district director of Acheng District of Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, division chief of Human Resource Department and HR Work Office director of HEU, director of Teachers’ Work Department of HEU Party Committee, director of Human Resources Department and director of HR Work Office. He was appointed as the Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Nuclear Science and Technology of HEU in December 2019 and appointed as the Dean of the College of Nuclear Science and Technology of HEU in June 2022.
Research: nuclear reactor thermal hydraulics, nuclear power plants and equipment, nuclear power system’s adaptability to marine conditions, advanced laser diagnostic technology, nuclear safety analysis, micro nuclear power technology, etc.
Teaching experience: a number of undergraduate and graduate courses, among which the "Nuclear Reactor Engineering" was selected for the key construction project of China’s national online professional master education course in Engineering and was selected as a brand course taught in English by the Ministry of Education for overseas students in China.
Other position(s): editor of Journal of Harbin Engineering University, member of the Professional Group of Equipment Development Department of People's Republic of China Central Military Commission, member of the Academic Committee of National Defense-related Key Laboratory of Thermal Energy and Power Technology, and member of the Technical Committee of Shaanxi Advanced Nuclear Energy Engineering Research Center.
Achievements: he has published more than 160 papers, including more than 50 SCI papers and more than 80 EI papers, published 1 academic monograph and won the second prize of Heilongjiang Provincial Award of Science and Technology and 2 third prizes of National Award of Defense Science and Technology Progress.
Honors: National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Nominee Award in 2009; selected for the Young Academic Backbone Support Program of Universities in Heilongjiang Province in 2014; selected for the Young Longjiang Scholars Support Program and supported by the Outstanding Young People Fund of Heilongjiang Province in 2018; selected as a national talent and won the 14th Heilongjiang Young Science and Technology Talent Award in 2019; winning the Outstanding Young Innovator Award of China Nuclear Energy Association in 2020.
