Based on the research of our country's nuclear reactors, the following research directions are mainly conducted:
1. The research group has developed comprehensive analysis capabilities for reactor analysis through the introduction of mainstream international software packages and independent development. This includes the design of new types of nuclear reactors and the analysis of their multi-physics coupling through computational calculations.
2. Radiation shielding design, calculation, and optimization for new types of nuclear reactors and nuclear facilities are carried out using various methods to achieve rapid or high-precision radiation shielding calculations.
3. Multi-scale and multi-physics analysis of nuclear fuel throughout its lifetime is conducted to enhance fuel performance, efficiency, and economy.
4. Coupling analysis of integrated energy systems including nuclear energy, renewable energy, and hydrogen production systems is performed. The coupling characteristics and techno-economic feasibility of complex energy systems are studied.
5. Numerical simulation analysis is conducted in special areas such as nuclear-pumped lasers and high-energy beam to study energy systems and their applications in these specific fields.
