Gao Puzhen, female, Han ethnicity, originally from Anshan, Liaoning, with family roots in Haiyang County, Shandong Province. She joined the Communist Party of China in 1988 and began working in 1992. She holds a master’s degree in Engineering Thermophysics from Harbin Shipbuilding Engineering Institute and a doctoral degree in Marine Engineering from Harbin Engineering University. She worked at Grenoble INPG University’s LEGI Laboratory in France (2000-2001) to study microchannel flow and heat transfer characteristics and conducted collaborative research in fire safety engineering at Hong Kong Polytechnic University (2002-2003). In 2012, she was appointed Deputy Dean of the School of Nuclear Science and Technology at Harbin Engineering University.

Research Interests: Thermal hydraulics of nuclear power devices, performance and equipment of nuclear power systems.

Teaching Experience: Extensive experience teaching undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral courses and supervising theses, covering all aspects of higher education talent training.

Social Positions: Currently member of the Women’s Working Committee of the Chinese Nuclear Society; Vice Chairman of the China Nuclear Industry Education Association, Review Expert for the National Natural Science Foundation and the Ministry of Education, Reviewer for Atomic Energy Science and Technology, International Journal of Thermal Sciences, Annals of Nuclear Energy, Nuclear Engineering and Design, and Progress in Nuclear Energy, Technical Committee Member of the International Conference on Nuclear Thermal Hydraulics, Operation, and Safety (NUTHOS), Editorial Board Member of the International Journal of Nuclear Safety and Simulation (IJNS).

Key Achievements: Published over 100 academic papers, including more than 50 indexed in SCI and EI, authored one textbook, obtained two authorized invention patents, and led the development of one provincial-level high-quality course.

Awards: Received four provincial and ministerial-level Science and Technology Progress Awards. Multiple awards as an Outstanding Lecturer at Harbin Engineering University.

Honors: Recognized as an “Advanced Individual in Teacher Morality” in the provincial education system and in provincial higher education.

Responsibilities: International exchange and cooperation, international students, and faculty teaching training.
