Li Lei, male, born in 1982, member of the Communist Party of China, holder of a doctoral degree in engineering, is an associate professor (tenure-track professor), master’s supervisor, and international student mentor. In April 2023, he was appointed Deputy Dean of the School of Nuclear Science and Technology at Harbin Engineering University.

Research Interests: Fine and real-time modeling and simulation of thermal hydraulics in nuclear reactors and nuclear power systems, multi-physics and multi-scale coupled simulations, nuclear safety analysis.

Awards: Received the First Prize for Science and Technology Progress in Heilongjiang Province (ranked 5th) in 2015, the “China Nuclear Power Talent Development Award” for three consecutive years.

Social Positions: Vice Chairman of the Digitalization and System Engineering Branch of the Chinese Nuclear Society.

Projects: As a project (task) leader, presided over a National Key R&D Program, Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities, and commissioned enterprise projects. Additionally, as a technical backbone, participated in major scientific research projects, including the National Key R&D Program, basic research, and general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation.

Key Achievements: Published over 20 academic papers, including 12 indexed by SCI and EI.

Responsibilities: Scientific research, talent development in research, safety and confidentiality, quality systems, fixed asset management, shared large-scale equipment, key laboratories, academic associations, and platform and base construction work.
