Tan Sichao, male, born in February 1979, member of the Communist Party of China, holder of a doctoral degree in engineering, is a professor and doctoral supervisor. He has served as the Director of the Talent Affairs Office and Deputy Director of the Human Resources Department at Harbin Engineering University, Director of the Human Resources Department, Standing Committee Member and Deputy District Mayor of Acheng District, Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, Director of the Human Resources Department and Director of the Talent Affairs Office at Harbin Engineering University, and Head of the Faculty Affairs Department and Director of the Human Resources Department and Talent Affairs Office. In December 2019, he was appointed Party Secretary of the School of Nuclear Science and Technology at Harbin Engineering University, and in June 2022, he was appointed Dean of the School of Nuclear Science and Technology.
Research Interests: Thermal Hydraulics of Nuclear Reactors, Nuclear Power Devices and Equipment, Adaptability of Nuclear Power Systems to Marine Conditions, Advanced Laser Diagnostics Technology, Nuclear Safety Analysis, Micro and Small Nuclear Power Technology.
Teaching Experience: Taught multiple undergraduate and graduate courses of which Nuclear Reactor Engineering was selected as a key project for the national online course construction for engineering master’s degree education, Nuclear Reactor Engineering (English) was selected as a branded course for international students by the Ministry of Education.
Social Positions: Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Harbin Engineering University, Member of the Academic Committee of the Key Laboratory of Thermal Power Technology, Member of the Technical Committee of the Shaanxi Advanced Nuclear Energy Engineering Research Center.
Key Achievements: Published over 160 papers, including more than 50 SCI-indexed papers and 80 EI-indexed papers, authored one academic monograph, won one second prize and two third prizes for provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological awards.
Major Honors: Received Nomination Award for National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation in 2009; Selected for the Heilongjiang Provincial Young Academic Backbone Support Program in 2014; Selected for Provincial Talent Program in 2018; Selected for the National Talent Program and received the 14th Heilongjiang Youth Science and Technology Award in 2019; Received the China Nuclear Energy Association Young Outstanding Innovator Award in 2020.
Responsibilities: Leading the college’s overall administrative work; overseeing discipline development, planning, faculty development, finance, auditing, public facilities, and archival work.
